Christian Döring: Trumpet

Christian is a hot trumpet player who has led the Charivari Jazz Band in Munich for 26 years. During that time Charivari has maintained a steady (just celebrated their 25th year) gig at a local hotel (Gasthof Böck) near Munich. The Charivari Jazz Band has played at festivals in Strongsville, Ohio, and in Brunico and Cagliari (Italy) as well as at the International Jazz Festival in Dresden. Charivari has made two tours through the U.S., one in 1997 and again in 2001. In addition to trumpet, Christian plays guitar in Canamger and sings both in English and in German. Christian's love of German hit tunes from the 1930s adds a special touch to Canamger's repertoire.
