Jim Armstrong: Trombone

Jim is a multi-talented musician and a fine tenor vocalist. In addition to trombone, he is an accomplished cornetist. He is one of the band's most popular singers (and no wonder -- he is a former Bach Choral Singer). The Grand Dominion Jazz Band, from Canada in the vicinity of Vancouver, is one of the most popular jazz bands on the traditional jazz band circuit. Grand Dominion quickly gained recognition after their founding in 1984, securing invitations to festivals in Central City, Colorado and Creswell, Oregon. The band has appeared at the San Diego Jazz Festival and at the Sacramento Jazz Festival. The GDJB has also toured internationally, performing in England, Wales, Scotland (the Edinburgh festival) and France in addition to playing on countless jazz cruises.
